As the Managing Director and Founder of Hawksmoor Automotive, Andy brings extensive expertise in working with dealer networks and importers, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while driving profitability and service excellence.
Throughout his career, Andy has successfully developed KPIs, CRM programmes, and innovative customer retention strategies. His leadership has been pivotal in elevating service standards, enhancing profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. His ability to mentor teams, optimise service processes, and guide digital transformation initiatives has enabled businesses to thrive in competitive environments.
Andy’s work with luxury brands has seen him lead multi-departmental functions, foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and significantly improve performance across the dealer network. His expertise spans multiple regions, including the UK, Middle East, and South East Asia, where he has consistently helped businesses transition from the bottom quartile to the top, achieving profit targets of over 110%.

Dr Andy Palmer
Executive Advisor
Dr. Andy Palmer CMG is a chartered engineer and seasoned automotive executive, known for his leadership roles at Nissan and Aston Martin, where he led significant transformational change. Currently, Andy serves as an Executive Advisor at Hawksmoor Automotive, bringing decades of experience to the team.
Andy began his career as a 16-year-old apprentice before joining Austin Rover in 1986, eventually becoming Chief Engineer for Transmission Engineering & Manufacturing. He later joined Nissan in 1991, where he held key roles, including Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. His work at Nissan is particularly renowned for the development of the Nissan LEAF, the world’s first mass-market electric vehicle.
In 2014, Andy became CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda, where he oversaw the launch of several key models, including the DBX, the company’s first luxury SUV. His leadership during critical times, such as Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic, was instrumental in guiding the company through unprecedented challenges. Andy’s work extended to pushing forward the development of Aston Martin’s mid-engined lineup, including the Valkyrie hypercar.
After leaving Aston Martin, Andy took on the role of CEO at Switch Mobility, an electric bus maker, where he spearheaded investment growth. In 2023, he became Interim CEO at PodPoint, a leading EV charging station provider.
Alongside his executive roles, Andy is a licensed race car driver, UK Government adviser, and founder of a charitable foundation supporting apprenticeships for disadvantaged youth. His contributions to the automotive industry were recognized in 2014 when he was appointed Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG).

Active across Southeast Asia’s business landscape, Michael has served on the Board of Directors for the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), is the founding Secretary of the Porsche Club of Cambodia and contributes to automotive committees within both AmCham and the European Chamber of Commerce.
